It emphasizes balance, sustainability, and long-term wellness through a philosophy that transcends just learning martial arts techniques. The focus is on resilience, self-awareness, and connecting more deeply with both oneself and the world.

The Martial Arts Center for health fosters a sense of community, where meaningful relationships are built alongside physical strength, providing a support system that can be grounding in an often disconnected world. When the body and mind feel good life is more enjoyable and our natural abilities shine. It’s about becoming more in tune with one’s inner self which guides us. With a foundation in personal empowerment, knowledge, and love the atmosphere of the Martial Arts Center for Health nurtures individuals as they grow at their own pace, offering a sanctuary from the noise of modern life and a place to fuel ones self.

Our Instructors

Scott Orcutt

I have had the privilege of learning from Tom Curtin for 23 years. I was introduced at age 24 by my Parents who received health benefits including regaining normal bone density for my mom and relief from a sever back injury my dad had for over 25 years and much more. At 24, I was already seeing doctors for digestive issues with no resolve, tension headaches to the point I would feel sick to my stomach and about 25 lbs overweight. Now, approaching 50, I am able to do things with my body I couldn’t do in my 20’s. My digestion is at its best point ever. Headaches are no longer an issue and I feel loose and comfortable in my body. I feel fortunate to be part of this team, serving others to achieve their health goals and feel better in their body as they age. With the understanding that without our health, quality of life goes is diminished, I am driven to help individuals and families to feel better, happier and more fulfilled lives by passing along this time tested knowledge the Martial Arts Center for Health has.

Eva Wynne

has been part of the Martial Arts Center for Health (MACH) for 28 years and brings more than 20 years of instructional experience. She began training after a serious car accident left her with a broken back, choosing an alternative healing path over spinal fusion surgery. Through MACH’s teachings, Eva made a full recovery with no residual effects and no medications, and developed a health-focused lifestyle ingrained early on through her training. She became an instructor after completing the Instructor Program under founder Tom Curtin and is passionate about helping others achieve lasting health, balance, and resilience.

Matt Mitchell

has been training at the Martial Arts Center for Health since 1998. He began at age 23, despite being physically active, while dealing with knee, lower back, and shoulder pain. Through the guidance of Tom, the center’s founder, and his instructor team, Matt found relief from pain and gained valuable knowledge, confidence, and patience that extended beyond training. While nearing the completion of his college studies to become an art teacher, Matt discovered a new calling: helping others improve their lives through martial arts. This realization shaped his path and commitment to sharing the physical and personal benefits that martial arts can provide
